INT. TIME TRAVELLER'S STUDY - NIGHT
The room is dimly lit, filled with dusty books and strange gadgets. THE TIME TRAVELLER (late 30s, weary but contemplative) sits at a cluttered desk, staring into the distance, lost in thought.

TIME TRAVELLER
(softly to himself)
Weena... where did you go?

He picks up an old photograph of WEENA (a young woman with an ethereal beauty), tracing her face with his fingers. A faint smile appears, quickly replaced by sadness.

TIME TRAVELLER
(voice trembling)
You were my light in that dark world.

Suddenly, the clock on the wall TICKS loudly, echoing in the silence. He jumps slightly, remembering the chaos of time travel.

CUT TO:
EXT. DYSTOPIAN LANDSCAPE - DAY (FLASHBACK)
The scene is bleak and desolate. Ruins of civilization surround them. The Time Traveller walks beside Weena, who looks around in awe and fear.

WEENA
(innocently)
Is this the future?

TIME TRAVELLER
(nods)
Yes, but its not what I imagined.

Weena reaches for his hand, a moment of connection amid the destruction.

WEENA
(hopeful)
But we can change it, right?

INT. TIME TRAVELLER'S STUDY - NIGHT
The Time Traveller clenches the photo tighter, eyes glistening with unshed tears.

TIME TRAVELLER
(firmly)
I tried, Weena. I tried so hard.

He stands up abruptly, pacing the room, frustration building.

TIME TRAVELLER
(raising his voice)
But every leap brought me closer to loneliness! What was the point of saving time if I lost you?

He stops by the window, looking out at the void outside.

TIME TRAVELLER
(desperate)
If only... if only I could go back.

CUT TO:
EXT. FLOWER FIELD - DAY (ANOTHER FLASHBACK)
The vibrant colors of flowers bloom as Weena dances through them, laughing joyously. The Time Traveller watches her, a smile breaking through his anguish.

WEENA
(turning to him)
Why do you look so sad?

TIME TRAVELLER
(sighs)
Because everything beautiful must end.

She approaches him, gently cupping his face.

WEENA
(earnestly)
Well make memories that last forever.

BACK TO:
INT. TIME TRAVELLER'S STUDY - NIGHT
The Time Traveller collapses into a chair, burying his face in his hands.

TIME TRAVELLER
(whispering)
Forever... It's just a cruel joke.

He raises his head, determination flashing in his eyes.

TIME TRAVELLER
(to himself)
I won't let your memory fade. Ill carry you with me.

He stands, walks to a large CHALKBOARD filled with calculations, and begins scribbling furiously.

TIME TRAVELLER
(passionately)
I will find a way to break the cycle!

Suddenly, the door CREAKS open, revealing an OLD FRIEND (early 40s, skeptical yet concerned).

OLD FRIEND
(cautiously)
Are you sure about this? You cant keep chasing ghosts.

TIME TRAVELLER
(turning sharply)
Shes not a ghost! She was real, and I owe it to her to try!

OLD FRIEND
(supportively)
Then let me help you. You dont have to do this alone.

They share a moment of understanding.

TIME TRAVELLER
(breathing deeply)
Alright. Together, then.

FADE OUT.
